Message from the Chairman
A warm welcome to San Juan and to ITIC
Americas 2023
This year has seen a steady increase in the number of
people travelling again. Airlines (and indeed airports) have
continued to struggle to keep pace with this rising demand,
post-pandemic.
As such, insurers are still faced with larger volumes of
claims for delayed travel and lost baggage. This disrupted
travel experience means that globally there continues to
be an enhanced focus on the value of travel insurance
products, whether they are traditional, embedded or
parametric solutions.
This increasing scrutiny has resulted in an impressive array
of new products and companies entering the market in the
past 12 months – and it’s been great to witness the pace of
development in our industry.
Our conference agenda this year looks at some of the
latest trends. We have speakers from across the industry to
share their expertise and insights with the ITIC audience.
Cruise assistance, disaster preparedness, hospital billing
and educating the customer are just a few of the topics we
will be discussing.
